Eligibility Criteria of State Eligibility Test (SET) 2026
Age Limit:
There is no upper age limit to appear for the SET Exam. Qualified candidates can apply for Assistant Professor posts within the jurisdiction of the SLET Commission.
Educational Qualification:
General/EWS candidates must have at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PWD candidates must have at least 50% marks (without rounding off).
Candidates awaiting final-year Master’s results or whose qualifying exams have been delayed are also eligible to apply.
