Professor
Medical Candidates: Medical qualification recognized under the applicable Medical Council provisions, along with MD/MS or equivalent in the respective discipline; DM/M.Ch. or equivalent is applicable for super-speciality disciplines.
Non-Medical Candidates: Postgraduate qualification in the concerned discipline/allied subject and a doctorate degree from a recognized university.
Additional Professor
Medical Candidates: Same basic qualification requirements as Professor.
Experience:
- 10 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS or equivalent.
- For super-specialities, 8 years after DM/M.Ch. (2/5-year course) or 7 years for a recognized 3-year DM/M.Ch.
Non-Medical Candidates: Same qualification as Professor with 10 years teaching/research experience after doctorate.
Associate Professor
Medical Candidates: Same basic qualification requirements as Professor.
Experience:
- 6 years after MD/MS or equivalent.
- 4 years after DM/M.Ch. (2/5-year course) for super-speciality disciplines.
Non-Medical Candidates: Master’s degree and doctorate in the concerned discipline with 6 years teaching/research experience after doctorate.
Assistant Professor
General Disciplines: MD/MS or equivalent with 3 years teaching/research experience after the qualifying degree.
Super-Speciality: DM/M.Ch. or equivalent. One year experience is required after the qualifying DM/M.Ch. for applicable courses; no experience is required for candidates possessing a recognized 3-year DM/M.Ch.
Non-Medical Candidates: Master’s degree in the applicable specialty and doctorate degree, with 3 years teaching/research experience.
Other Eligibility Criteria

Indian citizens and eligible OCI cardholders under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.
Age Limit
Professor / Additional Professor: 58 years
Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: 50 years
Age is calculated on the last date of online application.
