Educational Qualification and Other Requirements
Candidates must be Graduate or Post-Graduate students currently studying in colleges or universities of Assam with Honours in Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Wildlife Sciences, or allied subjects.
A college or university may forward a maximum of 15 students, along with one Internship Supervisor, through the Principal of the institution.
Scope of Work for Biodiversity Interns
Interns selected under Assam State Biodiversity Board Recruitment 2026 will be assigned the following responsibilities:
Assisting in updation and finalization of Gaon Panchayat People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs)
Supporting testing and trial of the Assam PBR Mobile App
Coordinating meetings with Gaon Panchayat Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs)
Ensuring compliance with National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) and ASBB guidelines
Preparing PBR data in uniform Microsoft Excel format
Supporting digital linkage of PBRs with the Digital PBR Database
