Post Name: District Nodal Consultant
Gauhati Medical College invites applications for the position of District Nodal Consultant to strengthen maternal and child health outcomes in Assam through a collaborative approach with the Government of Assam and the Gates Foundation.
No. of Posts
A total of 9 District Nodal Consultant positions are available—one for each selected district.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration between ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,24,148, depending on experience and qualifications.
Educational Qualification and Other Requirements
Educational Qualification
MBBS / BDS / BAMS / B.Sc. or M.Sc. Nursing with Master’s in Public Health.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the Health Sector Project.
Desirable Experience and Skills
Strong background in Public Health programs related to MCH/RMNCH+A.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation of health programs.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills related to RCH indicators.
Willingness to travel extensively across allotted districts.
Other Eligibility Criteria of GMC Recruitment 2025
Age Limit: Candidates should not exceed 50 years as of the application closing date.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in public health project implementation or evaluation.
Workplace: Candidates will be posted across nine zonal districts in Assam under the supervision of the State PMU.
