Salary will receive the usual scale of (PB-2) in the Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 7400/-, along with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Educational Qualification:
A candidate must possess a Bachelors degree from a recognized University with a diploma in Stenography in English with minimum speed of 80 wpm in shorthand and 30 wpm on a computer. Due weightage shall be given to a law graduate.
Proof of Residency:
A candidate must possess a valid Registration Number of Employment Exchange for the State of Assam.
Selection Process of Guwahati High Court Stenographer Recruitment 2024
Stage 1: Stenography Test (Dictation and Transcription) of 90 marks
- Voice testing before dictation: 2 minutes
- Speed test in shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute (total 560 words): 7 minutes
- Time given to the candidates for testing the computer: 3 minutes
- Time for transcription of the dictated portion in computer: 20 minutes
Stage 2: Written Examination (Descriptive Type)
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 hours
- English Proficiency (80 marks): Composition, Essay, Grammar
- Knowledge of Assamese language (20 marks)
Note: The Written examination is of qualifying nature, and marks obtained will not be considered in the final select list.
Stage 3: Viva Voce/Interview
- Total Marks: 30
- Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) will be called for the interview.
