Salary:
The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 / Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended), and the corporation’s guidelines.

Trade Apprentice/Attendant Operator: Candidates should have a 3-year B.Sc. degree in subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Applicants should have passed Matriculation and hold a minimum 2-year ITI certificate in Fitter Trade with a passing grade.
Trade Apprentice Boiler (Mechanical): Candidates should possess a 3-year B.Sc. degree in subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
Technician Apprentice (Chemical): Candidates need a 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): Applicants should hold a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Electrical): Candidates must have a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation): Applicants need a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Document Required for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2023 Assam
- 10th Pass/Matriculation Certificate: This certificate, issued by the relevant education board, serves as proof of the candidate’s date of birth.
- Class XII Marksheet: This marksheet, issued by the concerned education board, is required. Also, semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets for ITI (Fitter) issued by NCVT or SCVT, or graduation/diploma in engineering.
- Class XII/Final ITI Certificate: This certificate should be issued by NCVT or SCVT for ITI (Fitter), or a graduation/diploma certificate issued by the respective Board/Authority.
- Conversion Certificate: If applicable, a certificate converting CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to percentage of marks from the concerned University/Institute.
- Result Publication Date Certificate: This certificate should mention the date of result publication and must be obtained from the Principal of the Polytechnic/School/College/Institute where the candidate pursued their Class XII/ITI (Fitter)/Graduation/Diploma course, if applicable.
