Scheme for Recruitment – NFR Cultural Quota 2025
The selection process for candidates applying under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Cultural Quota Recruitment 2025 will be carried out in two stages as detailed below:
Stage I – Written Test (50 Marks)
The written test will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions covering topics such as General Knowledge, General Science, General Mathematics, English & Hindi Language, Reasoning, Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge.
The exam duration will be 60 minutes.
There will be negative marking, with 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer.
The medium of the written examination will be either English or Hindi.
Candidates must score a minimum of 40% to qualify for the next stage.
Stage II – Assessment of Talent (50 Marks)
This stage will evaluate candidates’ skills and achievements in the relevant cultural discipline:
Practical Demonstration: 35 Marks
Testimonials / Prizes / Certificates: 15 Marks
Total Marks: 100 (Stage I + Stage II)
Other Key Points:
Only those who qualify in Stage I (minimum 40%) will be eligible for Stage II.
Based on merit, candidates up to 5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the practical demonstration and testimonial evaluation.
The merit list of the written exam will serve as the basis for shortlisting.
After qualifying both stages and recommendation by the Recruitment Committee, candidates will undergo a medical examination at a designated Railway Hospital as per their merit position.
It is mandatory for candidates to be declared “fit” in the prescribed medical category by the Railway Medical Authority.
The written examination and proficiency test will be conducted at Maligaon, Guwahati.
The time and venue for all stages (Written Test, Practical Demonstration, and Document Verification) will be decided by the Railway authority and communicated to eligible candidates later.
