Educational Qualification:

- Successful completion of Part A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), with a certificate from the Institution of Engineers (India) only.
- Degrees obtained through distance education are not eligible.
Local Language Proficiency:
In addition to English, candidates should have sufficient knowledge of at least one official language of the State of Assam (i.e., Assamese/Bengali/Bodo), excluding candidates from Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Citizenship:
Applicants must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residency:
