Salary

• ₹1,500 per lecture
• Maximum remuneration of ₹40,000 per month
• Government-employed Guest Faculty will receive ₹800 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹40,000 per month
• No additional allowances are admissible.

Job Type

Purely temporary engagement for 5 months.

Guest Instructor

Total Guest Instructor Vacancies: 8

Salary

• Government-employed Guest Instructors will receive ₹400 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹25,000 per month

Education Qualification of Guest Faculty & Guest Instructor Vacancy 2026

Guest Faculty – Civil Engineering

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess M.E./M.Tech/Integrated M.Tech in any of the following:

• Civil Engineering
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Water Resources Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Transportation Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• Construction Technology & Management
• Any other relevant branch of Civil Engineering

Desirable Qualification

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or relevant specialization.

Guest Instructor – Civil Engineering

Candidates must possess either:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (Full-Time) with at least one year of relevant experience, OR
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Guest Faculty – English

Candidates should possess:

• M.A. in ELT/English with specialization in ELT, Linguistics or Language Technology.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D. qualification.

Guest Faculty – Indian Knowledge System (IKS)

• M.A. in Sociology or relevant subject.
• Teaching experience in Indian Knowledge System.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D.

Guest Faculty – Mathematics

• M.Sc. in Mathematics.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D.

Guest Faculty – Statistics

• M.Sc. in Statistics.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D.

Guest Faculty – Physics

• M.Sc. in Physics.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D.

Guest Instructor – Chemistry

Candidates should possess either:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry, OR
• B.Sc. with Chemistry Major and minimum 2 years’ experience.

Guest Faculty – Electronics

Candidates should possess:

• M.Tech in VLSI/Semiconductor System Design or Ph.D.
• OR
• M.Tech in Communication or Ph.D.

Guest Instructor – Electronics

• B.Tech in Electronics & Communication
• OR
• Diploma in Electronics.

Guest Instructor – Food Technology

Eligible candidates should possess any one of the prescribed qualifications such as:

• B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. in Food Technology or allied discipline with required experience.
• Vocational Degree with NSQF certification and experience.
• First Class Diploma in Food Technology with relevant experience.
• National Trade Certificate/National Apprenticeship Certificate with extensive industry experience.

Preference will be given to candidates having Food Analyst qualification or food laboratory experience.

Guest Faculty – Tourism Management

Candidates should possess:

• Master’s Degree in Tourism Management with at least 55% marks.
• Preference for NET/JRF/Ph.D. holders.
• Candidates with relevant postgraduate qualifications may also be considered if NET-qualified candidates are unavailable.

Guest Faculty – HR / Finance

Candidates must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• Regular Full-Time MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class.
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
• Relevant teaching, research, and analytical skills will be preferred.

Guest Faculty – Logistics & Supply Chain

Candidates should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class.
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as applicable.
• Industry experience in logistics, warehousing, ERP/SAP, procurement, transportation, analytics, or operations management will be preferred.

Mechanical Engineering Instructor

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
• Experience in material testing and measurement.

Fitter

• ITI Fitter with industry or institutional experience.
• Retired persons are also eligible.

Carpenter

• ITI in Carpentry with relevant experience.
• Retired candidates may apply.

Forger & Heat Treater

• ITI in Blacksmith Trade with relevant industry or institutional experience.
• Retired candidates are eligible.

Welder

• ITI Welder with relevant experience.
• Retired persons may also apply.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The official recruitment notification has not specified any minimum or maximum age limit for these Guest Faculty and Guest Instructor engagements.

Nationality

Applicants must be Indian citizens and should possess all educational qualifications from recognized Boards, Universities, or Institutions.

Experience

Relevant teaching, research, laboratory, industrial, or field experience is required/preferred depending on the post applied for. Candidates should carefully verify the experience requirement for their respective discipline before attending the interview.

No Objection Certificate (NOC)

Candidates who are presently employed in any Government or Semi-Government organization must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the interview.

Medical Fitness

Selected candidates must be in sound health and may be required to undergo a medical examination as per Assam Skill University norms.

Important Conditions

• Engagement is purely temporary for 5 months.
• The appointment will not be regularized under Assam Skill University.
• No right to claim permanent employment in the University.
• Qualifications must be obtained from recognized institutions only.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, modify, or cancel the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
