1. Vice President

This is a senior project leadership position. The selected executive will be responsible for the successful execution of the fertilizer complex, covering contract award, engineering, procurement, construction, erection, commissioning and stabilization.

The candidate should have experience in project leadership and should have held positions such as Project Head, General Manager, Site Head, Plant Head or Business Unit Head. Experience in large-scale fertilizer, petrochemical or refinery projects is preferred, particularly ammonia and urea plants based on natural gas and internationally proven technologies.

The role also involves Project Management Consultant oversight, pre-project and development activities, LSTK/EPC and package contract strategy, engineering coordination, construction and site execution governance, and regulatory and compliance coordination.

This Assam Job opportunity is intended for experienced professionals who can manage end-to-end procurement and contract functions, including tendering, contract administration, vendor management, purchase orders, inventory control, stores, logistics and contract closure.

Candidates should also have expertise in SAP/ERP systems, MIS preparation, e-procurement, e-tendering, GeM, government procurement policies and CVC guidelines. Knowledge of GST, customs regulations, import management, value engineering, spare-parts control, price negotiation and post-award contract administration is also required.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in fertilizer, petrochemical or chemical industries, particularly in PSU or government organisations.

Education Qualification of AVFCCL Posts 2026

Vice President – Project

Candidates must possess a full-time regular Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines:

• Chemical
• Chemical Technology
• Mechanical

The candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree.

In addition to the educational qualification, the candidate must have a minimum of 25 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.

The candidate should have substantial experience in large-scale project execution and project leadership. Relevant experience must be acquired after obtaining the required educational qualification.

Additional Chief Manager – Contract & Material

Candidates must possess any one of the following:

• Full-time regular Engineering degree in any specialization with at least 60% marks; or
• Full-time regular MBA in Materials Management with at least 60% marks; or
• Full-time PG Diploma in Materials Management with at least 60% marks, provided it is a 2-year regular course recognised as equivalent to MBA by UGC/AICTE.

Candidates must have at least 16 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.

Qualifications must be obtained from recognised Indian universities, institutes or statutory authorities as applicable. Distance-learning qualifications are not eligible under the notification.

Age Limit

The upper age limits are:

Age and post-qualification experience will be calculated as on 30 June 2026.

For the Additional Chief Manager post, a 5-year age relaxation is available to candidates from PSUs/JVs of the fertilizer industry, as specified in the notification.

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Work Experience

Work experience must be relevant and acquired after obtaining the required educational qualification. Teaching, lectureship, part-time employment, apprenticeship, internship and articleship will not be counted.

For Management Trainee or Graduate Engineer Trainee experience to be considered, the candidate must have been regularised in the same organisation.

Candidates currently working in PSUs or government organisations are required to submit an NOC from their present employer/HOD. The notification also provides an alternative affidavit arrangement for candidates who face administrative difficulty in obtaining the NOC.

Medical Fitness

Appointment will remain subject to the candidate being declared medically fit in the medical examination conducted according to AVFCCL’s applicable medical fitness rules and standards.

Selected candidates for regular positions will initially be appointed on one-year probation. Confirmation will depend on satisfactory performance.
