Education Qualification of Agniveer Vayu Vacancy 2026
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following educational qualifications:
Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognized Board with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Passed a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Passed a two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
Other Than Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized Board with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Passed a two-year Vocational Course from a recognized Education Board with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

Age Limit
Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Candidates who successfully clear all stages of the selection process must not exceed 22 years of age on the date of enrolment.
Medical Standards
Candidates must fulfill the prescribed medical standards, including:
- Minimum height: 152 cm for male and female candidates.
- Height relaxation for North East and certain hilly regions: 147 cm.
- Normal hearing ability.
- Healthy gums and minimum 14 dental points.
- Physically and mentally fit for service.
- Permanent tattoos are generally not permitted except under specified conditions.

Online Test of Agniveer Vayu Recruitment
Candidates who successfully submit their applications for Agniveer Vayu posts will have to appear in an Online Test as Phase-I of the selection process. Provisional Admit Cards will be sent to eligible candidates through their registered email IDs 48 to 72 hours before the examination. Candidates must report to the designated examination centre on the specified date and time with a colour printout of the Admit Card, original Aadhaar Card, and a blue or black ballpoint pen.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualify in the Online Test will be shortlisted for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-II. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the CASB Portal. The PFT consists of two stages: PFT-I and PFT-II.
PFT-I: 1.6 Km Run
Candidates must complete a 1.6 km run within the prescribed time limits to qualify for PFT-II.
