Education Qualification of Local Bank Officer Vacancy 2026
Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications:
- Applicants should possess a Graduate degree in any discipline from a University or Institution recognized or approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Candidates must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate on or before 9 August 2026.

Selection Process

Stage I: Online Written Test
The online written examination will consist of 150 objective-type questions carrying a total of 150 marks.

Stage II: Screening
After the online written examination, Punjab National Bank will scrutinize the online application forms and supporting documents submitted by qualified candidates. Stage III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Candidates who have not studied the prescribed local language of their selected state as a subject in Class 10 or Class 12 must appear for the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
The test is qualifying in nature and evaluates the candidate’s ability to:

- Write the local language
- Speak the local language

Stage IV: Personal Interview
Candidates shortlisted after the Online Written Test and, where applicable, the Local Language Proficiency Test will be invited for the Personal Interview.

- SC/ST: 22.50 marks (45%)
- Other Categories: 25 marks (50%)
The number of candidates called for the interview will be decided by the Bank based on their performance in the Online Written Test and the Language Proficiency Test.

The final selection of candidates will be based on:
- Performance in the Online Written Test
- Performance in the Personal Interview
- Qualification in the Local Language Proficiency Test (where applicable)
